Belihul Oya

Belihul Oya is famous for its paradisiacal mountains, tea estates and mighty waterfalls. It is the start of a unique mountain trek from Sri Lanka's beautiful tea estates through the forest to the Horton Plateau. Its 23rd bend, known as Baker's Bend, was built as a horseshoe by Governor Baker during the British colonial era. It is in memory of the horse that saved his life.
